Project task: arrangement and accomplishing of Osmosis Open Event in Poland.

Location: Rehabilitation and Leisure Centre Wielspin; city centre in Wągrowiec

Description and results:

On July 23th, 2022, the OSMOSIS Open Event was organized by the Leader of the OSMOSIS Project – Sport and Rehabilitation Association START in Rehabilitation and Leisure Centre Wielspin in Wagrowiec, concurrently with the Wągrowiec City Festival under the Honorary patronage of the Polish Paralympic Committee and the Mayor of the City of Wągrowiec. We have acquired business and media patrons. Project participants stayed at the hospitable Leisure and Rehabilitation Centre Wielspin in Wągrowiec.

The event aroused great interest of the local community. There were practical demonstrations and friendly tournaments of three games – Boccia and other traditional sports, such as Kubb and Finnish skittles. In addition, the exhibition of sports equipment for people with disabilities was organized. Thanks to great commitment of the OSMOSIS Project team, an amazing festival atmosphere was created. It was the best promotion of the OSMOSIS Project.

Attendees: 

  • over 100 participants – people with disabilities and able-bodied,
  • inhabitants of Wągrowiec, including the whole families,
  • Project OSMOSIS team members from 6 countries (23 people in total),
  • START Association workers and volunteers,
  • media representatives,
  • local audience.

Project task: The Summary & Evaluation Project Meeting

Location: Rehabilitation and Leisure Centre Wielspin, Wągrowiec

Date: 22nd-25th of July, 2022

Description and results:

The project summary meeting was be organized between 22nd and 25th of July  2022. The 3-day meeting brought together the Key Staff involved in the Project (3-4 participants from each partner organisation). The meeting’s aim was to present the general conclusions about the Project and to discuss how to achieve its continuity. Among main meeting objectives were:
– summarise the project results and its activities,
– promote Boccia as a grassroots sport,
– ensure the dissemination and sustainability of the project,
– discuss ways of implementing the project results for further social inclusion of the PwD
– create vision and shape of the further cooperation,
– develop ideas for expanding cooperation to other networks at regional, national
and EU level.

The Participants from 6 countries spent several days on working discussions, implementation of project tasks while free time was devoted to sports and recreation.

All of the participants have received the most important intellectual outputs – the Project manuals, printed in each Project partners’ language.

Attendees: 23 people from 6 Project Partner’s countries.

Finalization of the project – Final evaluation & budget reporting and Publication of the Final Report will take place by the end of 2022.
